On December 20 to 22, 2010, at the Ilia Vekua Institute of Applied Mathematics (VIAM) of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) was held the first conference of Georgian mechanical engineering union.

Prof. David Pataraia from Mining Institute reported on  “The calculation of rope-rod structures on the basis of the new approach  - computer realization of discrete model of rod and relaxation of efforts”(Pataraia D.) and doctorand Edisher Tsotsoria reported on “Suspension transport system with flexsible auto parts – problems and perspectives” ( Pataraia D., Nozadze G., Tsotseria E., Javakhishvili G., Javakhishvili T., Maisuradze R.). In the Last one was summarized the obtained results of the first year funded by Shota rustaveli national science foundation (Grant #   GNSF/ST09_314_7-130).
